Bonding

Are you worried about a chipped or misaligned tooth? You have come to the right place. At Premium Dental, we understand how an imperfect tooth can create a world of annoyance. That is why we offer a bonding treatment, where Dr. Delgado and our team will add a liquid plastic resin to the tooth’s surface, which will be color-matched. The new tooth will be created and molded to your tooth using a blue curing light to give you the confidence you need!

How Long Does Bonding Last?

The bonding process can be an alternative to porcelain veneers, lasting an estimated 5-10 years.

Benefits of Bonding

The process of bonding comes with a list of benefits. Some may include:

  • A procedure that can be done in a fast manner
  • A generally pain-free procedure
  • A lower-cost compared to other treatments, such as veneers or orthodontics
  • It can serve to repair small dental problems

The Procedure

Tooth Preparation

To prepare for the procedure, a thin film of a dental matrix will cover teeth near the bonding area to ensure no resin will get onto teeth that do not require it. The tooth that is going to be bonded will then be dried, and a gel with be applied to give the bonding site a rough surface.

Applying the Resin

The gel gets removed, and the tooth gets filed one more time. The resin is then applied to your teeth, color-matched by Dr. Delgado. The resin will be applied layer by layer with a blue light bonding process for strength.

Finishing Up

Now that the bonding process is finished, the dentist will apply polish over the bonded tooth. Your bonded tooth will look natural and beautiful and look like it was never damaged.
