Meet the Doctor | Premium Dental
Dr. Gustavo Delgado is a native of Colombia, South America. He served in the US Navy as a dental technician for six years. While in the Navy, he deployed to Iraq with the US Marines, where he supported the dentist as well as the medical teams. After receiving an honorable discharge, he decided to further his education and attended undergraduate school at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, where he majored in Accounting, before heading east to attend dental school at East Carolina University School of Dental Medicine, where he received his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree. He returned to the Charlotte area following graduation and started practicing dentistry in 2017.
Dr. Delgado believes strongly in the value of continuing education and has been a member of Spear Education, where he routinely took continuing education courses to broaden and master his clinical skills. He completed a comprehensive training program in Implant Dentistry at the AAID Maxi-Course in the Dental College of Georgia at Augusta University and, years later, completed an intense Implant Continuum Seminar in Miami, FL. He also has participated in the Hinman Dental annual meeting in Atlanta, GA, where he gets training courses on the most current topics and techniques in dentistry. Dr. Delgado is completing training in orthodontics with Progressive Orthodontic Seminars in Chicago, IL. In addition, Dr. Delgado is currently pursuing his AGD Fellowship and Mastership which are prestigious awards that give dental providers the opportunity to expand their clinical knowledge and enhance how to treat their patients. Dr. Delgado is a member of the Academy of General Dentistry (AGD), the American Academy of Implant Dentistry (AAID), and the International Dental Implant Association (IDIA).
Dr. Delgado has a great passion for the field of dentistry and enjoys making a real contribution to the oral health of his patients. He believes that there is nothing quite like the feeling of helping someone achieve a healthy and more confident smile. He has volunteered his services at several North Carolina Missions of Mercy (NCMOM), where he has helped many people with their dental needs. Dr. Delgado loves to experience the satisfaction, privilege, and joy of positively transforming the lives of his patients by restoring their oral health.
In his spare time, Dr. Delgado enjoys biking, jogging, exercising, and spending quality time with his family and friends. He enjoys going to church, traveling, and learning about new places and cultures. He is fluent in English and Spanish.
